Factors affecting the pH of urine. Inherent variability of the method: S tudies have shown that the dipstick measurement of urine pH can be quite inaccurate (e.g. a pH value of 7.5 can be anywhere from 7 to 8) (Johnson et al 2007).The pH showed the lowest level of agreement (>0.5 unit change) of all dipstick chemical constituents between observers (Boag et al 2019).
